bestdish.
a new dinner habit, hiding in the lobby.
Michael came to us with an idea, not a company: put restaurant dishes in smart freezers inside condos. No delivery driver. No sad supermarket lasagna. Dinner, downstairs.
The tricky bit wasn't the logo. It was making a brand-new habit feel obvious enough to try on a Tuesday night.
not a delivery app
No driver, no wait, no “service” fee somehow larger than the tip.
not frozen grocery
The meal comes from a restaurant you know, with the chef and dish named on the pack.
not a vending machine
Yes, there's a machine. No, dinner isn't spiralling down behind a bag of chips.
how do you make a new behaviour feel like it has always made sense?
we designed the whole Tuesday night.
The name on the freezer, the sleeve in your hand, the first-meal offer, the tap on your phone — every bit had to answer the same tiny question: “Do I trust this for dinner?”
brand
We positioned BestDish around famous dishes from local restaurants. Never “frozen food.” Always the meal you came for.
experience
Sleeves, freezer graphics, website, QR flow, chef stories. Familiar signals, arranged into a new kind of shop.
launch
The first meal was free. The job after that was turning curiosity into a Tuesday habit, building by building.

the freezer door is a lousy salesperson.
Frosted glass, fluorescent light and about three seconds of attention. The pack had to make the restaurant, dish and value clear before the door even opened.
- meal sleeves
- labels & nutritional layouts
- information hierarchy
- qr experience
- shelf visibility
- production system

win one building. then the next.
Toronto-wide awareness could wait. The smarter move was density: make the freezer useful in one building, learn, then repeat it at the next address.
Free gets the first bite. A second purchase proves the idea.

a freezer is hardware. the brand makes it dinner.
BestDish has the pieces to launch address by address: restaurant partners, packs, pricing, onboarding and a resident journey that doesn't need the founder beside the freezer explaining it.
no stock-photo chefs.
Every dish has a restaurant, a chef and a reason to be there. Showing the real people behind the food does more for trust than another “premium” adjective ever could.

Restaurant partners at launch: Piano Piano, Pukka, Le Gourmand, Death in Venice Gelato Co. — named dishes, named chefs, every pack.
